San Luis Obispo Insulation was founded in 2023 by a crew that had spent years doing insulation work across the Central Coast and wanted to build something locally focused. We are based right here in San Luis Obispo, a city where a large share of the housing stock was built in the 1950s through 1970s and still has the under-insulated attics and leaky crawl spaces to show for it.

The idea was simple: homeowners in SLO deserved an insulation company that actually knew their city - the neighborhoods near the Mission, the hillside lots around Bishop Peak, the older craftsman bungalows in the Railroad District - instead of a franchise sending out whoever was available that week.

Since 2023, we have worked on homes and commercial properties across the region, from Paso Robles down through Santa Barbara. Every job gets the same attention whether it is a single attic upgrade or a full crawl space encapsulation. We are not the biggest company in the area, and we are fine with that. We would rather do the work right than do more of it.

We hold a valid California C-2 Insulation and Acoustical Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). This license covers spray foam, blown-in, batt, and all other insulation types we install. You can verify our license number directly on the CSLB website before hiring us - we encourage that.

All of our work is fully insured for liability and workers compensation. Before any project begins, we can provide certificates of insurance on request. We also carry a contractor bond as required by California law.
